Amare Stoudemire Tweets homosexual slur to fan

New York Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire is under media hot water for replying to a fan with a hateful homosexual slur on Twitter.

While Stoudemire’s reply was a private message, the recipient took a screenshot of the direct message and posted it publicly. Upon learning the situation, the NBA has decided to investigate the issue.

The fan is a big admirer of the New York Knicks. Reports say that the 19-year-old fan Tweeted to Stoudemire, telling him to “come back a lot stronger and quicker to make up for this past season.” Stoudemire then replied with a homosexual slur to the fan through a direct message.

As of press time, the 6-foot-9 All-Star has yet to talk about the incident.
