Facebook cancels testing for ad network

According to reports, Facebook is cancelling its plans to release a new advertising network.

In an official statement from the social media site, it is temporarily halting its mobile ads test. Reps claimed that feedback from the testing stages have been positive.

“Our focus is on scaling ads in mobile news feed before ads off of Facebook,” the social media site said in the statement. “We have learned a lot from this test that will be useful in the future.”

Forecasts indicate that Facebook intends to change its news feed ads in the future. In fact, some reports claim that the social media site is considering integrating video ads to user feeds. As of press time, Google has not issued a comment about this possibility.
