Pinterest is quickly becoming one of the most popular social media sites in cyberspace. And this gives marketers plenty of reasons to make it a part of their digital marketing campaigns.
Based on a recent survey from ACTIVE Network, 70 percent of Pinterest users generate offline actions—a very attractive statistic for brands and companies.
While some industry analysts claim that Pinterest will be purchased by Facebook by the end of the year, the pinboard-style photo-sharing site recently acquired its own property: Punchfork.
Punchfork, a recipe sharing site, has now been integrated to Pinterest. Both sites look similar to each other, but Punchfork puts in more custom content. This is what led experts to speculate that Pinterest maybe exploring the value of copywriting on the social media platform.
Punchfork’s team will be joining the Pinterest team in San Francisco.
Social media experts say that the integration will likely improve Pinterest’s search capacities.
