Find out more about the little known databases of the Portsmouth Public Library in a free hands-on lecture on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
This one hour and a half lecture will feature databases such as EBSCO (for magazine and newspaper research,) several genealogy research databases (such as Ancestry.Com and Heritage Quest,) as well as Reference USA, Foundation Center, Learning Express, Mango Languages, Mitchell’s Online.
There are no prerequisites to attend this class but being comfortable with using a mouse and being familiar with the keyboard is useful. Experience using the internet is also a plus.
This event is part of the Portsmouth Public Library’s hands-on computer classes that will run the whole of November. Up to eight participants will be accommodated. Computer units will be provided by the library.
