Be there on the Seacoast Association of Fiber Artists (SAFA) group meeting on September 13 at 10 to 11 am. Members will meet at the MacLeod Board Room.
SAFA is from the Southern Maine and New Hampshire that has initially completed slices of quilt that have gone to different exhibits throughout 2011. Fiber art is the main focus of the group. This style of fine art uses textiles such as fabric, yarn, and the natural and synthetic fibers. The main concern is on materials and on the manual labor involved in the art making process.
Upcoming Fiber shows need to be planned through the last months of 2012 that’s why the group meeting has been set.
Jodi Adams of Portsmouth, one of the head artists, will be giving further information about the meeting on the next days. His site is http://jodiadams.net. If you want to get more details now, you can contact him through these numbers: 603-436-6418.
