Based on a new survey from VerticalResponse, more than 43% of small businesses spend at least six hours a week on social media sites—including Facebook and Twitter. Additionally, the research found that most of these businesses are spending more time on social media platforms compared to previous years.
In terms of popularity, Facebook and Twitter still top bill. The two sites are followed by Google+, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. According to experts, all these sites can be effectively used for marketing purposes.
For social media activity, posting content occupies the most time followed by learning and education and analysis.
In a report from Technocrati, the main activities on social media channels should center on: responding to questions, building relationships, analyzing efforts, and defining goals.
