The Central Park Five at The Historic Theater

The Central Park FiveWitness another remarkably moving and exhilaratingly poignant film on Friday, January 18, 2013 as the Historic Theater screens The Central Park Five from 7:00 pm onwards.

The Central Park Five is a documentary film by Ken Burns, David McMahon, and Sarah Burns. It narrates the story behind five black and Latin teenagers who got arrested for charges against their alleged brutal attacks and rape activities to a white female in Central Park. The story of the crime spread like wildfire throughout the nation but it was only after a few years later of being imprisoned when the truth came out that the five did not actually commit the crime.

Tickets for the screening are sold at $9 for adults and $7 for senior citizens, students, and military men. Online ticket sales mandate an additional $.50 for every ticket bought.
