WWE has begun to initiate investor-related activities in social media networks, including Facebook, Twitter, and Facebook.
The move, which is part of WWE’s global communications program, aims to improve the league’s understanding of its various operations.
“Our perspective is that social media represents a fundamental shift in the way we communicate,” explained George Barrios, WWE’s Chief Financial Officer. “We believe that effective communication with investors and analysts includes the use of social media that is focused on that community.”
WWE has successfully engaged its fans through social media, building the brand and promoting events through the platform. WWE has 72 million fans in Facebook and 28 Million followers in Twitter. It also has more than a billion viewable videos on YouTube.
